Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner at Jones Beach last night. Peter Keys keyboard player with Lynyrd Skynyrd used and sounded amazing on the Hammond XK-3C! Al Greenwood, founding member of Foreigner performed the encore! The song “I Want to Know What Love Is” was played with the Greater Nassau Chorus singing.
Kansas opened for Deep Purple last night at Jones Beach. In Kansas, Tom Brislin used a Hammond XK5 in his rig and Ronnie Platt used a Hammond SK Pro in his rig. Don Airey in Deep Purple used a vintage chopped Hammond B3 organ with a Leslie that looks like a customized Leslie model 122. Ritchie Blackmore joined Deep Purple to play Smoke on the Water once again! Amazing!
Coral Reefer Band at Jones Beach last night. Hammond Artist Mick Utley was using a new Hammond SK Pro 61 and Leslie 122 Speaker Cabinet. Scott is with Mick Utley before the show and with one of Jimmy Buffet's boats. A couple won a trip to cruise on that boat. Wow!
